This is a huge prairie restoration project with walking trails, an old log cabin, remains of an old tile-making facility, and a quarry full of Devonian fossils that you can dig without a fee. Wonderstone Quarry is south of Tooele. These are the directions from Tooele. We used Google Maps and typed it right in and found our way. Head south on UT 36 for 37 miles. Turn left on FR630 which is right before some train tracks and is an unmarked dirt road. Follow for one mile until you dead end at the quarry.

The U-Dig operators working at the quarry are there to assist you. They have helped people in wheelchairs, people who cannot walk on unlevel ground, and people on on crutches collect in the past.
